5 foundations will be built for the Isokangas wind farm and 12 foundations will be built for the Palokangas wind farm, of which 16 foundations will be implemented as rock anchor foundations and one as a gravity foundation. Blasting work for the rock anchor foundations has started in week 13. The foundation work will be completed during the fall of 2023, and Nordex’s power plant installation will begin in early 2024.
The client of the project is Exilion Tuuli, which invests in renewable energy and is owned by Elo, the State Pension Fund and Veritas. A total of 17 wind turbines with a combined power of 100 MW will be built in the Isokangas and Palokangas wind farms.
The power plants supplied by Nordex have an output of 5.9 MW and a total height of approximately 240 meters. The estimated annual production of the wind farm complex will be around 320,000 MWh.
“We are really pleased to be able to implement a project together with Exelion Tuuli Ky. I am happy with how the project has started,” says Suvic’s construction manager Sami Sainio.
