Sami Ehrnstén Appointed as Suvic's Business Director in Sweden

07 June, 2024

Sami Ehrnstén has been appointed as Suvic's Business Director for Sweden, effective June 1. Sami has been with Suvic since June 2022, previously holding the title of Business Manager. A native of Turku and a Swedish-speaking Finn, Sami brings to Suvic not only his language skills and international experience but also his extensive expertise in the electrical and energy sectors, areas in which he has worked throughout his career.

His primary task has been to establish a foothold in the Swedish market and build the organization for Suvic AB. Going forward, the goal is naturally to further strengthen the company's position in this competitive industry.

Suvic's CEO Ville Vesanen praises Sami's work thus far without reservation: “Sami has excellently embraced his pioneering role, creating a customer network for our company and making Suvic known in Sweden with his unique personality.”

Sami says he is pleased that the management is satisfied with his work and grateful for the trust placed in him. “I feel a strong sense of work engagement in this role, and it's fantastic to work with this team! I enjoy Suvic's atmosphere: the open-door policy makes it easy to connect with anyone. I get full support and the answers I need, even though I primarily work remotely,” he explains.

Work in Sweden continues under the new title of Business Director, with the next goal being to achieve market leadership in Sweden. “Suvic's unapologetic goal is to be the number one choice for customers and the first in their minds when requests for proposals are made. We are happy to offer our experience and insights as early as possible to build successful and cost-effective projects together,” Sami states.

Achieving this goal naturally requires persistent effort. Sami wants to thank both old and new partners who have welcomed Suvic warmly – competition in contracting seems to be only welcome. “Suvic has an excellent reputation in the industry, which even surprised me a little but has significantly facilitated my work. We are known as a reliable and skilled company that operates responsibly and has a strong safety culture,” he says.

Interesting developments are happening in the Nordic energy construction market, which Suvic is naturally following closely. According to Sami, the market is currently filled with Power-to-X projects, where hydrogen plants naturally need electricity – preferably from renewable sources. At the same time, hybrid parks producing solar and wind energy are emerging, and the costs of establishing BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) facilities are becoming increasingly affordable. “Our advantage is, of course, that we can build all of these on an industrial scale, and the customer benefits from dealing with only one excellent contractor in the project,” Sami predicts for the future.
