Suvic will build 33 foundations for the Karhunnevankangas wind power project
Suvic has won the foundation project for Karhunnevankangas wind farm to be built in Pyhäjoki. Infrastructure construction in the park has already begun in the summer of 2020, and construction of the foundations will begin in late April. The contract includes 33 foundations, of which 23 will be implemented as rock anchor foundations and 10 as gravity and pile foundations.
The power plants to be erected have a hub height of 159 meters, and the wing sweeps at a maximum of 240 meters. These plants have a nominal capacity of 5,7 MW, with a total capacity of 188 MW. The majority of the annual electricity production is purchased by UPM Kymmene Corporation through the power purchase agreement (PPA).
"We are excited to start cooperation with wpd Finland on Karhunnevankangas. In this project, we are able to utilize our special strength in rock anchor foundation construction", says CEO Ville Vesanen.
